Car Parking and Access

The very large Recreation Ground car park adjoins Littleton Memorial Hall. In the event that there is
also an additional function on the Recreation Ground, arrangements can be made with the Parish
Clerk for further parking in the adjoining overflow car park. There are 4 disabled parking spaces
adjacent to the hall entrance, and easy wheelchair access to the whole building.

Note: Access to the Hall and the car park is restricted by a barrier to vehicles exceeding 2.2m (7ft
2ins) in height. If a delivery or caterer’s vehicle exceeds this height and needs access, advance
arrangements must be made with the Hall Manager.

What are the hire costs?

The Main Hall is hired out at £30 per hour on a Casual Basis

The Meeting Room is hired out at £16 per hour on a Casual Basis

The Kitchen is a shared access space available to all Hirers

o Parishioners, Charities, and Block Bookers benefit from discounted hire rates, please state this at the time of booking.

Is there onsite parking?

There is a large car park which offers parking for users of the Hall and Recreation Ground. Parking is on a first-come, first-served basis. Please park respectfully to allow maximum use of the car park.

There is a 2.2m height restriction barrier on entry to the car park. Vehicles over 2.2m in height should request the barrier to be opened in advance.

Does the hall have WiFi?

The hall has Wifi that can be used in all rooms. The router is situated in the central foyer to the left-hand side of the fire exit doors that overlook the cricket pitch.

Do you have a projector?

The main hall has a ceiling-mounted projector and wide-angle pull-down screen. Instructions for use can be found here.

Do you have access to baby changing facilities?

Yes, there is a baby change unit in the accessible toilet.

Is the Hall easily accessible by Buggy/Wheelchair?

There is level access to every area of the hall through wide doors allowing good access for users with pushchairs or wheelchairs.

What is the hall licensed for?

The Hall has a premises licence covering the sale of alcohol and a Performing Rights Society (PRS) licence to allow plays, live music, recorded music and dance performances. For events involving the sale of alcohol this compulsory form must be completed and returned to the Hall Manager.

Do you have a sound system?

The main hall has a sound system suitable for background music. It also has a hand held microphone.

Do you require a security deposit for our Event?

Events that are serving or selling alcohol will require a £100 security deposit to be held against damages or nuisance to neighbours.

Can we have a BBQ or Hog Roast at our event?

Disposable BBQ’s are not permitted under any circumstances.
BBQ’s and Hog Roasts are permitted in specific areas but a copy of the caterers Public Liability Insurance must be held on file. Permission must be sought from the Hall Manager.

Is the use of the recreation ground included in our Hire?

The hall has a patio area outside which is included with use of the hall. Organised activities must not be set up on the cricket field.
